Visit schedule
Two ways to decide when a planting site is due for a visit. The choice changes this list, its counts, its chips and its files.
Measured from these records: a site goes on the list after 353 days without a visit, the upper quartile of 108 recorded gaps between visits. It is a pattern in the records, not a goal.
Demo monitoring plan: a site goes on the list after 180 days without a visit, the configured cadence. Sites within 30 days of that are counted beside the list.
The other four reasons read the same under both.
Demo data
Schedule in force: Measured from these records
10 of 20 planting sites have a reason for a visit: 4 never visited, 6 with a plant recorded dead then alive.
How a planting site gets on this list
| Reason | Sites it matches | New to the list | Running total | Listed under the Demo monitoring plan (180 days) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Never visited | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 |
| A plant nobody could find | 0 | 0 | 4 | 0 |
| A plant not scored at the last visit | 0 | 0 | 4 | 0 |
| Recorded dead, then alive: verify on site | 6 | 6 | 10 | 6 |
| Not visited in over 353 days | 0 | 0 | 10 | 4 |
Each site appears once, under the earliest reason it meets. The Sites it matches column counts a site under every reason it meets, so it adds up to more than the list.
The 353-day bar is the upper quartile of the 108 recorded gaps between visits. It is a pattern in the records, not a goal.
Under the Demo monitoring plan the list holds 14 sites.

What the columns mean
- Why
- The first of five ordered reasons that applies. A counter beside it opens any other reason the site matches, and each chip opens its own explanation.
- Planting site
- The public alias of the site. It opens the record beside the list.
- Cohort
- The year the site was established and planted.
- Last contact
- Time since the last dated visit, over its date. A site never visited shows its establishment date instead.
- Plants
- Public plant records at the site.
- Planting area
- The planting area the site belongs to.
- Visits In the record and the file
- Monitoring visits on record, dated or not.
- Next due by time In the record
- When the schedule in force lists the site for time alone.
- The last visit In the record and the file
- The cage, water hauled, the nurse canopy and the read type as recorded at the last visit.
- Nearest mapped road In the record and the file
- Whole metres to the nearest mapped road or trail. Its name shows on screen only.
- Schedule In the file
- The schedule the list was drawn under.
